John Camm
Professor Camm graduated from Guy's Hospital, London and pursued a career in Cardiology at St. Bartholomew's Hospital. In 1986, he moved to the Chair of Clinical Cardiology at St. George's Hospital.


Professor Camm is Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences and the Division of Cardiological Sciences and is past Chairman of the Department of Medicine at St. George's and past Chairman of the European Society of Cardiology Working Group on Cardiac Arrhythmias, former Director of The Arrhythmia Service, past President of the British Pacing & Electrophysiology Group and a past council member of the Royal College of Physicians. Dr Camm is a former Trustee of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology and he is the past President of the British Cardiac Society. Additionally, he is Convenor of Medicine, University of London and a trustee of the American College of Cardiology.

He is particularly interested in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac arrhythmias and implantable devices for rhythm controli.

Professor Camm is a worldwide renowned trialist and holds memberships in 18 multicentre study committees and has given over 1,000 lectures to international audiences, written more than 822 papers and appears on over 1,193 abstracts.
